IS PATIENCE REALLY A VIRTUE?

Goodness! It's been over a year since I put up a post. I checked my page stats and saw lots of views from previous posts. I can only but say thank you for reading. I love to write but so much has been happening and writing had to take a back seat, but I'm back and better so help me God. Lol! Today's topic is about that very famous word we all know - Patience.

What is Patience? My dictionary defines it as good-natured tolerance of delay or incompetence.
What is Virtue? It is defined as any admirable quality or attribute.
So, when you say patience is a virtue, you're simply saying that good-natured tolerance of delay or incompetence is an admirable quality or attribute. With that being said, the question really is, "Is Patience really a virtue?"

The popular proverb, "a patient dog eats the fattest bone" has been heavily criticized and tagged "rubbish" by naysayers. According to them, it should be, "a patient dog eats no bone", while some even went as far as saying, "...and would die of hunger."

I've pondered on these statements. The spiritual and physical parts of me argues over this issue too. The spiritual part of me tells me that the Bible says to be patient and cite examples like Abraham, Joseph, Moses and Job, but the same Bible also tells me that the kingdom of God suffereth violence and the violent taketh it by force. That sounds like impatience to me! Or is it that they were patient before, then got tired and decided to do something about it, which got them a reward - the kingdom?

The physical part of me who dwells in this world tells me to adhere to the "no time to waste time" adage that's on everyone's lips like a watchword. Simply put, do what you have to do and be fast about it, or regret slacking. Other times, it says you're not these people; their strengths/weaknesses are totally different from yours; be you! You are better than that! (Pride and self-worth talking, maybe).

All these and more leads me to questions that I've heard so many people ask, myself including:
* How long should I be patient? (If there's a measure)
* How do I know I've been patient enough?
* Should I even be patient at all?

It's a very sensitive but important topic - patience, and many of us can relate simply because it shows up in virtually every area of our lives. I'll mention a few that's popular:

Should you have sexual relations with that man/woman who's promised you a job or keep combing the streets, submitting CVs like you've been doing for a long time?

Should you keep ignoring the maltreatment meted out to you and your siblings by your dad and praying to God for better days or lose it, get confrontational and or physical with him, and bear the consequences?

Should you continue to serve under your master till he/she frees you, or leave early to start out on your own?

Should you finish that education your parents suffered so much to pay for or drop out of school to pursue that burning passion/skill you believe in so badly?

Should you wait patiently on God to give you your own spouse, irrespective of the time/age He does so, or marry the next available person because of family/societal pressure and because you want to start a family early?

In conclusion, I believe indeed that patience is a virtue, and that every situation in itself is unique. Applying wisdom is also an integral part of life; what works for me may not work for you so one has gotta be careful. There have been times that I was patient and it paid off, other times it didn't. Wisdom is profitable to direct, but most importantly, seek God's face regarding any issue and He'll be sure to guide you.

I'd love to read your thoughts on this post and feel free to share with your friends. Also, kindly subscribe to my blog so you get updates about new posts. Thank you.

Remember,
God is love.

DESTROYING EVIL BRIDGES PART 1

Text : Rom 7:14-20, Heb 11:13-16

Hello! I got lots of mails as to why I stopped blogging. I have had other stuff to do over the years but I missed blogging and I'm back fully. For those who sent me mails, may God bless you. I was surprised but happy that a lot of people read my blog, although they don't comment but it's fine; we'll get there. Lol. The fact that you read my content is wonderful. I pray that the Hand of God rests on you continually and may He keep you in perfect health and peace. Keep coming and also spread the word about this blog. Thank you!

What I'm gonna be discussing today is a message preached by a great man of God - Supreme Archbishop Emmanuel OjoPowerson, the founder and General Overseer of Family Restoration Ministries Worldwide. He's famously known as Papa Restoration because that's his divine mandate given to him by God. I was so blessed by his teachings that I thought to share with you, my wonderful blog visitors. I know lots of people need to read this and in the body of Christ, we should share things like these, not hoard them. So sit tight and get ready to be restored.

You may ask, what is an evil bridge? I'll explain but first what is a bridge? According to the Dictionary, a bridge is a structure that allows people or vehicles to cross an obstacle such as a river or a canal or railway, etc. It could also be explained thus:

  • A bridge is a connector or a platform that can take you back or forth either to the path of
  • success or to the path of failure.
  • A bridge is an access or a pathway
  • A bridge is an intermediary; a catalyst : something that causes an important event to happen.
Now we understand what a bridge is, we can move on. There are evil bridges inside a lot of us.
They permit failures, ancestral spirits, foundational strongmen, etc to walk back and forth into our lives.  In Romans 7:14-20, Apostle Paul was talking about a bridge within him. Something that makes him do what he doesn't intend to do. Heb 11:13-16 talked about people of faith who burned those bridges and never returned to where they came from. They went along with God's plan and didn't look back.  If you must become a giant that God says you are and not a midget,
if you must reign in life and be who God says you are, you ought to pray aggressive prayers that destroy evil bridges.
Let me make an illustration. Have you ever seen a King beg? Or seen his kids beg? Even if the King was a former bricklayer, after his enthronement as a king, he can never go back to being a bricklayer. It means that bridge in his life has been destroyed and never to come back! You
get my drift?

Evil bridges are invisible. They could be anything for eg, an incision on your body, a man or woman, partners not approved by God, lies, evil laying of hands, an aircraft, etc. You've  gotta get rid of them!

A bridge is like a stoppage. God said, "Ask and ye shall receive." If God is not a liar - which
He's not - and you pray about a problem, quote scripture and apply faith but get no result, then an evil bridge stopped you. When the enemy decides to build a bridge or bridges in your life,
they will be fortified and very strong. With bridges like that, you can't attack like a sissy. Evil
bridges don't play and you can't joke with them. Your little shout of 'break' or mild prayers won't settle the matter. You've gotta be aggressive and pray knife-piercing prayers.

If you dream of your village, childhood home, former school or college, there's a bridge that pulls your spirit man back to that place and that's not good. If you live a life of stagnancy,  an
evil bridge is operating in your life. If your mother birthed you with the help of a herbalist, you need to pray these prayers. The list is endless, people.  In times of war in the old days, they cut off all the bridges so the enemy couldn't access them and vice versa. During the Biafra war in Nigeria, it's common knowledge that an important force that helped the Nigerian Army win the war against the Biafrans was because the Biafrans food supply was cut off and they couldn't get food. The Nigerian Army laid siege to the place where food was to be transported to the Biafrans. The place is called Oleku Ore to this day. The bridge was cut off and the Biafrans lost.

I hope you understand evil bridges now and why they need to be destroyed. For the sake of people who don't like lengthy posts, I'm gonna write the prayer points in the next post. Please pray them with all fervency and aggression.

God bless!

POWER DECISIONS THAT CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE.

Hi beloved. Forgive my long absence from the blogosphere. You know how it is with a busy schedule. Nevertheless, the Word of God must be preached everywhere. Can't be too busy for that. I'm back and better and will blog often by His grace. Today, I'm gonna be sharing with us on Power Decisions That Can Change Your Life and I pray that the eye of your understanding be flooded with light in Jesus Name. Amen.
Decisions are made in your heart but it requires action. We often tend to make decisions but end up not carrying them out. Same goes with prophecy.

CAUGHT BETWEEN A ROCK AND A HARD CASE 2

Hello friends. How have you been? Before I get to the matter at hand, I wanna welcome you all to a new month. It's also my birth month. This is a month to recover all and I pray that we recover all our blessings, prosperity, peace, joy and promotion this last month of the year in Jesus Name. Amen.
Some weeks ago, I and my neighbors were almost robbed but thank God their plans were frustrated. Our gateman was seized and he was asked to call one of us to come open the inner gate.

WORDS OF WISDOM

  • Hello people. I'm gonna be sharing words of wisdom by a great man of God and my spiritual father, Apostle Isaac O. Rhema. Here goes;
  1. A fool when quiet is esteemed to be wise.

CAUGHT BETWEEN A ROCK AND A HARD CASE.

Hello dearies! How has your weekend been? Yeah I've been away but I have missed blogging and you. But I'm back now and I promise you mouth-watering gists, news and rhema, so don't you fret.
About a while ago, I was chilling with some friends at a joint and we couldn't help but overhear a group of people arguing. We wondered what all the fuss was about till one of them came over and told us this story. But that was after our curiosity had gotten the best of us and we were leaning towards them to get the gist. Lol! For once in me life, I couldn't offer a solution to the problem because it's like being caught between a rock and a hard case. So I throw the gauntlet to you my wonderful readers. Answer truthfully, will ya? Good.
An event planner invites you for a catering job and you agree to do it because the pay was pretty good and even more than you expected. A limo takes you and your crew to the airport and you were flown to another state. At the airport, again, you were chauffeured to the place were the shindig is to be held. Everything is made avail

WHY DO BAD THINGS HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE?

Hello there! Yeah, it's been a while, but I'm back and better with lots of goodies for you so don't miss out. Today, I'm gonna explain what has been on so many minds for a very long time and still is. God bless you as you read this and I pray that the good Lord gives you understanding. Amen!
Why do bad things happen to good people? This question is foremost on everyone's minds. Some ask, why should bad things happen to me, a good christian? Why does God allow evil? And some even go as far as ask if there is a God. Hold it right there buster! There is a God and He's the Alpha and Omega. The Beginning and the End. The Omnipotent and the Omniscient One. Now that that's been established, my brothers and sisters asking these similar questions, I say, Be of good cheer.
God allows bad things to happen to us sometimes to test us, to reveal what is truly in our hearts. Surprised? But that's the truth. Whatever happened to you, He sure permitted it. Take Job for example. God allowed all the sufferings Job passed through to reveal what was in his heart. No matter what you are going through, be rest assured that it has an expiry date. And always remember that God is true. He wants to know if you trust Him completely in that trying time of yours or if you only trust Him when things are going great for you.
Now don't get me wrong. God doesn't want you to suffer. He's always faithful and He never fails. He provides for you not because you are holy or so faithful to Him but because God is simply good. He's goodness personified. Did you know that when you have pains or experience some hardship, God experiences the same too? For crying out loud, He's your Father, and I know every father reading this will agree with me. When your child is sick, do you just fold your hands, grab a cigar and a drink and behave like all is fine and dandy? No! Well, some would argue that that's the case with some fathers but I call men like that 'sperm donors' because any man who's a father won't behave that way. He'll be so damn worried and would seek solutions. That's how our heavenly Father is but even better. God wants us to see our fears and conquer them!
Also, God wants to reveal the greatness inside us and He also wants you to learn patience. The troubles you are facing is for your own good, though the enemy planned it to ruin you. The faster we realize that God wants to reveal the hidden things inside us, the better. He wants to grow us into maturity! James 1: 2-5 says, ''Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance(patience). Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.''(paraphrased)
Do you get the picture now? You've gotta grow into maturity. You can't remain a wee babe forever. And ask yourself truthfully, what is a christian without trials and tribulations?  Even the word of God says we would face trials and tribulations but we should be of good cheer for He has overcome the world. Glory! If you don't cooperate with God on your inside, you'll just go through that problem and suffer greatly. Instead say to God,'' what do you want me to learn from this situation?'' Also when God is trying to grow you into maturity, don't be in a hurry to get out of it. Don't try to hide your emotions from God cos the more you do it, the more hardened you become and the more hardened you become, you will pull away from Him, which is what the devil wants. God wants to grow you into maturity thereby having a relationship with Him. A strong person is someone who lets his/her guard down for God to come in and take control. Forget all that bullcrap the world has taught you that you've gotta be stoic, silent, stay strong and be a man. That's just tragic.
Now let me say this. Good things happen to good people by chance. Oh yeah. A closed mouth is a closed destiny. In the spirit realm, there is a continuous warfare raging on. What are you saying with your mouth? Some of us speak idle words when we could change our destinies with the right words. Begin to declare the word of God over your life. If you don't devour your prey by praying now and chanting the course of your life, you will become the enemy's prey, I tell you.
In conclusion, it's very important to have a relationship with God. He's waiting for you to reach out to Him. Take that bold step and you won't regret it. And no matter what you're going through, be of good cheer, smile and praise God cos you know in the end, everything will work out for your good.
      Cheers!

TURN THE OTHER CHEEK OR NOT?

Hullo bloggers! I got an ask and want you to answer truthfully. Someone shared this story with me and I decided to do the same with you and seek your honest opinions.
Say you are a Minister of God and you attended a seminar with some friends. Things were going great, you were having fun and sometime later, you had to go use the rest room. As you were heading there, this man bumps into you. He clearly wasn't looking  where he was going. All of a sudden this man starts insulting you, saying you are blind and should watch where you're going next time and also demands an apology. You try telling him it was he who bumped into you and should apologize but the man still goes on calling you a liar and some offensive names.
You get angry and call the man an idiot. Unknown to you, his wife is behind him and she calls you out for insulting her husband and slaps you across the face. You warn her not to do so again and don't give her a good decking because she's backing a child. Suddenly, this man's sister comes and slaps you too. The man encouraged by all the slaps gives you a generous one also. What will your reaction be? As a Minister of God? This should be fun. Remember, the truth shall set you free. Cheers!

REVERSING EVIL WORDS AND BREAKING SATANIC CURSES.

Hello fellas. Trust you had a splendid weekend? Today am gonna be talking about curses and how to be free from them. You may say you are not under a curse. Well, that's fine and dandy but it won't hurt to read this and be enlightened. You can tell a friend or loved one about this post too.

At this point, I'd like you to say a quick prayer. Thank God for your life. Thank Him for all He's done. not done and will do. And tell the Holy Spirit to open the eye of your understanding. God bless you as you do so.

Now, what is a curse? A curse is a force that is working against a person or a group of people. It is a sentence that calls for capital punishment, injury, or destruction on a person or group of people. A curse is also an evil pronouncement. Curses have always been the greatest problem of Man. The Bible makes 161 references to curses. Unbelievable huh? Below are some definitions of a curse.

 * A curse is a reoccurence of evil things in a person's life.

 * A curse is to fall under the prison of retrojection.

 * A curse is unprofitable hardwork.

 * A curse is when your helpers refuse to help you.

 * A curse is receiving the key of failure at the edge of your breakthrough.

 * A curse is moving about in a circle.

Am sure you are beginning to get the picture. You may ask, where do curses come from? Curses don't just fly; they come from a source. Gen 49:1-4 is a good example. It talks about Jacob cursing Reuben because he dishonored him by sleeping with one of his wives. You may say, 'But Jacob cursed Reuben." You are wrong. Jacob cursed Reuben's generation. Noah also cursed Ham right but it was Ham's generation who suffered for it. That's the power of a curse! And that's where generational curses come from. Most of our problems are from our foundation.

Below are some types of curses.

1) Parental curses.

2) Generational curses/Inherited curses.

3) Curse of untimely death.

4) Curse of failure at the edge of breakthrough a.k.a automatic failure mechanism.

The bad thing about curses is that they won't just go away. You've gotta break them if you wanna have a fulfilled life. Some of you'll say, 'Oh I'm born again. Old things have passed away, all has become new. I'm a new creature in Christ.' My dear, don't be deceived. To break a curse, you've gotta undergo deliverance. In some cases, serious deliverance and prayers. It isn't something that will just go away.

Let me share this testimony with you. A very pretty lady always meets fine men but all they ask after getting well acquainted is 'I like your friend.'  And they end up marrying her friends. She attended all their weddings as their Chief bridesmaid and didn't think something was wrong till the 7th guy asked her the same question. She decided to do something about it and ran to a Man of God, told him everything and asked, "dem no dey like me?" Then the Man of God prayed for her and she was free from that curse. You may find this story funny but that's what's happening in the world today. A lot of people are under a curse but are ignorant. If you notice an evil pattern in your life or family, that should tell you something. Some of you have been cursed by your parents or people. Don't see it as just words that were spoken in the heat of the moment. Reverse them immediately! Check yourself today.

Here are some tips to be free from the bondage of curses.

* Break every barrier or curses assigned to destroy you and keep you from moving on to the next level.

* Give yourself to meditation: If you don't give yourself to meditation, you'll be limited to revelation.

* Develop yourself: God is not ready to manifest in babies (nepeos), but in mature sons and daughters of God. That's why you've gotta study the word of God and grow spiritually.

* Apply wisdom in everything that you do: Doing what you require to acquire your desire is Wisdom. Even the bible says Wisdom is the principal thing. Success in life is as a result of wisdom.

* Purpose in life: Why are you here? What are you here for? Ask God and yourself. You must have a purpose. Purpose is a secret for success in life. When life lacks purpose, it loses color. You must pursue your purpose. Purpose drives a man on; keep moving!

PRAYER POINTS.

1) Evil curse trying to stop me from moving on to my next level, you are a liar. Break in Jesus Name!

2) Curses from my father's house, Curses from my mother's house trying to stop me. You have no hold over me. Break in Jesus Name!

3) MY FATHER, MY FATHER! Every evil altar that is speaking evil against my life, let it break and burn to ashes in Jesus Name!

Pls pray this with all fervency. It is well with you. God bless you.

SWEET MOMMA

Hello bloggers! This is a special piece for a very special person and that's my sweet momma. If you're to carry out a survey asking people who they love more among their parents, you are sure to hear them say it's their moms. For Fathers reading this, it's not that we don't love you. There's just something special about a mother. And am positive you agree. As i go down memory lane, i remember the early years when I was still knee high to a grasshopper.
Father left when we were still very young and mom had to take care of us. We were 5 in number so you can imagine the strain and stress. She had this little shop along Sanya express road where she sold snacks, food and drinks. Mom would wake up at 1am in the morning to bake and cook. Sales was good back in the day. Mom could bake meatpies, eggrolls, doughnuts, scotch eggs, chin chin, buns, puff puff, etc in large amounts. She even invented one snack that I can never forget. Called it Talet. She'd bake and cook till 6 and then she'd wake us up to help carry the snacks to the shop and also start the day's chores. Choi, Ma was a real firebrand then. She had no patience for slowness or clumsiness in general. If she sent you on an errand and you happened to forget one of the items she asked you to get, you were done for. The beatings were not funny.
I remember one incident vividly as though it was yesterday. It was a school night and the rule in our house was to retire to bed at 9pm but I and my siblings wanted to watch this popular programme' AGBARANLA.' We knew Ma wouldn't allow us so we went to bed but it happened that she had to go see a good friend of hers who lived some houses away. So after she left, we snuck out of bed, went to the living room, turned on the tv and began watching the programme. We totally forgot ourselves cos we were engrossed in the episode that was showing that night but i can swear we didn't spend up to 10mins cos we were scared she would come catch us. However, sometime into the film, we didn't know that Ma was watching us through a window till she boldly said,'' Ehen, na the sleep wey una dey sleep be dis abi?'' See the speed at which we took off for our room. Infact we knew we were finished that night but surprisingly, Ma didn't come for us. I and my siblings discussed it and my eldest sister assured us that no punishment would befall us and that since Ma didn't come, we had been forgiven. I remained skeptical but my sis told us to forget it.
We had double decker beds then and i slept with my older sister on the upper bunk. Early the next day, I heard someone enter the room. Am a light sleeper, always have and always be. Next i heard was flogging. Ha, my eldest sister collect sha that day but she ran out of the room. Ma moved on to the next person then told i and my other sis to come down and collect ours. Oh, it wasn't funny. The beating was on another level. Lol. After that, we had punishment of different types and grades. We learnt a huge lesson that day that we could never outsmart our mother.
That's just one story. I remember many that I'll tell my grandchildren and the next generation. You know then, we actually thought our mother heartless, cruel, evil, and wicked. We didn't understand why we had to trek miles upon miles to fetch water, buy charcoal and go on errands when our mates were asleep. If Pepsi didn't come to supply mom with drinks, we had to go buy from far places and if we weren't successful, we had to go back and look till we bought. The beatings were another thing entirely. But growing up, we understood. Mother had to slave and deny herself lots of things so we could attend private schools, wear good clothes, attend summer lessons and many more. She had to beat us so we wouldn't become spoilt and lazy. She wanted us smart and sharp and she wanted us to have good grades. Now we understand. Whatever I am today, I have my mother to thank for. I love, cherish and appreciate her.
If you love your mom, pls cherish her. Do what you can for her now that she's still alive. Thank God for her. Whatever differences you may have, make amends today cos she's a treasure.
I have lots of stories to share with you but it'll be on another post. Maybe. And that's all for now folks.

KEYS TO YOUR SUCCESS.

You can succeed if you follow instructions and guidance. The Word of God is in your mouth and in your heart. If you don't fill your heart with the right thoughts and your mouth with the right words, things won't go right with you. You are a product of your choice. Ask yourself this: If you blame your parents or somebody for today, who will you blame for your tomorrow?
Whatever you hear regularly, you'll soon become. Anything positive is life and anything negative is death. Choose life and live!
There are 4 major keys to your enlargement.
1. You must know who you are.
Never lose sight of who you are. Don't behave like an ordinary person. You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. As He is in heaven, so are you in this world! Your placement in life is as a function of your awareness. Knowing who you are makes your life easier. You must know who you are in power. That's the difference between you and an unbeliever. And pls note, don't let your present circumstance define you.

2. Watch your mouth.
James 3vs 5 to 11 says a lot about the tongue and it's power. Without the tongue, you can't speak. What do you say with your tongue? Stop saying negative things. Learn to be positive and learn to tame your tongue. If negative words are spoken against you, reverse it quickly. Uplift yourself with your tongue cos it's got power.

3. Take action.
Where you are today is as a result of your actions and inactions. Maximize the opportunities you've got now. Am sure you've got some talent or skills cos God didn't create anyone without giving them something unique and special. What's that special thing you got? What makes you unique? Find out today. Begin to exploit them. Skill brings success. Say this prayer, Father, give me an idea that will launch me into great wealth.

4. Never walk alone. Ps 23 vs 4.
There's a common saying that says, "Show me your friend and I'll tell who you are." Look at the people in your life and how they influence you. Do you roll with drunks, misfits or intellectuals? Are you friends with great people? It matters you know. Also walk with people who know what you don't know. Be willing to serve your leaders with no strings attached. They'll teach you things they didn't teach others who asked for money. And lastly, don't disrespect your spiritual leaders because they are the ladders you need to climb to the top.
Am sure you understand the 4 major keys to your enlargement now and are excited but let me come at you real quick with this one. To succeed in life, you need the grace of God. Also, fly on the wings of your spiritual parents' grace cos they have an anointing that's higher than yours. Get them involved in any project or decision you wanna make. And be warned. When you come out of your anointing, you are disconnected from grace so tread carefully. GOD BLESS!
